There we were. Four southerners smack dab in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. Overwhelmed by the gorgeousness that IS Breckenridge. We were turning forty. We work. We toil. We mother. We father. We provide for our children's every need. We needed a break. We needed pampering. So we were lead to Chef Jen. Ohhhhh Chef Jen. In a word: flawless.
Prior to our evening, We gave her a vague description of what we wanted in a VIP, special occasion, all around AMAZING celebratory dinner. We deserved it after forty years of L-I-V-I-N', I promise. And HOLY COW, did Chef Jen deliver! After a long day of playing in Breck, we walked into our vacation rental and were greeted by aromas that perfectly complemented the beauty around us. We found Jen. Laboring and giddy over the stove, performing the work that she loves. Our TABLE! She had decorated OUR TABLE with candles and and rustic appointments that could charm any old southern coot! We settled in around her. Sipping wine and watching her weave her spells. She regaled us with cooking tips, hilarious stories and knowledge about the surrounding area as she worked. We laughed. A LOT. I would have paid for this service by itself.. BUT THEN CAME THE FOOD. Bison sliders, pork chops, buffalo, sauces, potatoes. Food that made no sense to us but was PERFECTION on our palates! Sensory overload. The food, SANG TO US, I tell you!! Unreal. By that time, I decided that I DIDN'T deserve such a treat and I think I cried at one point. And I'm being serious.
All this being said, if you are on the fence about Chef Jen's services, DON'T BE. She provided us with one of those key 'life moments'. I think I realized it while it was happening. But looking back, it was something none of us could put a price on. The food, the company, the over-all 'Chef Jen-ness'. Amazing. And I don't think I have quit smiling since."

Chef Jen prepared meals for 13 of us at a house we rented in Breckenridge last weekend. We had two dinners, two breakfasts, and one lunch. We couldn't have enjoyed the experience more and would highly recommend Chef Jen to anyone coming to Breckenridge and renting a house. Everyone in my group agreed that having a chef prepare meals was the perfect thing to do -- much better than going to restaurants and/or preparing meals (and cleaning up after) ourselves.
Furthermore, I looked at a number of different chef options for the trip, and Chef Jen's pricing system was vastly superior to any of them. Rather than charging a (high) price per person per meal, Chef Jen charged an hourly rate plus the cost of food -- much better, in my opinion.
Finally, it was very easy to set the menu for the weekend -- all it took was a 10-15 minute phone call with Chef Jen to go through what we wanted for each meal, and she took care of the rest!"
